The main post intrigued me so I am starting from the beginning - your beginning.<br /><br />I am Korean. We are taught that every single grain of rice represents the back of all the people who work so hard to produce it. Our word for rice is bap. Our word for food is bap. Our word for meal is bap. Everything is bap - in reality and in symbol. It is symbolic of everything we eat and when we look at the grain of rice, we can see embodied in it all the work and all the lives that go into producing our sustenance.<br /><br />It's a buddhist/confucian philosophy.Jhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09887770909792933948noreply@blogger.com
